COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard

The COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) was revised on April 21, 2022, and became effective on May 6, 2022.  The changes to the standard include modifications to definitions, changes to testing protocols, cleaning and disinfecting, close contact, and return-to-work protocols.

Cal/OSHA has issued an updated version of their Covid-19 Prevention Program (CPP) template (docx) that incorporates the current revisions to the standard.  All written elements required by the revised standard are included in the template.  Districts should modify their current CPP to reflect the changes to the revised COVID-19 standard.

Please contact RESIG’s EHS department with any questions regarding the revised standard.
