About RESIG's Employee Benefits Department

RESIG’s Employee Benefits Department was created in 2008 to offer a dedicated, local service team for our member districts, their employees, retirees, and COBRA members.

Patty Baumunk, Director of Employee Benefits, Elizabeth Matheny (Benefits Specialist II), and Angela Zimmerman (Benefit Specialist II) are CA licensed Life, Accident & Health agents and along with Jodi Misi (Benefits Coordinator) are available to assist with phone calls and walk-ins for active employees, retirees, COBRA members and our district administrative teams.

Thirty-three member-districts participate in our fully-insured Medical program, Twenty-eight participate in our self-insured Dental program and Nineteen districts participate in the fully-insured Vision Service Plan (VSP). Administrative services are offered at no cost to our health plan member-districts.

Benefits Managers' meetings are held annually to give our district administrative teams updates on the Affordable Care Act (commonly known as Healthcare Reform or ACA), other legislative updates, and assistance with the renewal and open enrollment processes from our carriers.
