Cal/OSHA 10 General Industry
October 2 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (lunch included) and October 3 8:00AM-11:00 AM This course covers specific CA and Fed OSHA requirements as they apply to general industry work sites and teaches safety awareness to help in recognizing and reducing the risk of hazards. Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded the 10-hour General Industry card. Target audience is Maintenance and Operations Directors and staff. AHERA Local Education Agency (LEA) Designee Training
October 10 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (lunch included) Every LEA must designate an individual responsible for ensuring compliance with asbestos regulations affecting schools. This course meets AHERA requirements for the training of that designated person and covers basic asbestos awareness and information specifically targeted to the responsibilities of LEA designated persons, such as record keeping involved with management plans, how to interpret management plans, how to plan abatement jobs and calculate costs, management plan audits, and how to prepare for an EPA inspection.
