Post Offer, Pre-Placement Overview

RESIG’s Post Offer/Pre-Placement Program (P.O.P.P.) was established in 2000, to provide an objective method to determine if applicants for employment have the ability to perform the physical demands of the job they have been offered.

The POPP program has proven to be a valuable loss prevention tool for our member districts.  During the fifteen years of the program, we have screened over 9,500 applicants for designated positions in our schools.  Overall, we continue to screen out applicants that fail to successfully complete the medical screening, thus protecting our member districts.

The positions that are covered in the POPP program are:

  • Custodian
  • Maintenance Worker
  • Grounds Worker
  • Food Service Worker I and II
  • Special Education Teacher I and II
  • Special Education Assistant I and II
  • Bus Driver
  • Van Driver
